Officers were called to the 900 block of Case Avenue East around 4:30 p.m. on a report of multiple people shot. When officers arrived, they found two people in front of an address suffering from apparent gunshot injuries. The victims advised officers that more people were injured inside of a residence. Officers then located three more victims inside who also appeared to be suffering from apparent gunshot injuries.

Saint Paul Fire paramedics responded and pronounced the victims inside the residence dead on scene. The two victims outside the residence were transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.

Officers secured the scene and began looking for witnesses and any evidence. Homicide investigators are working to determine who was there and what led to the shooting. The department’s Forensics Services Unit will be processing the scene with the hope to find physical evidence that will tell the story of what led to the killings.

The Ramsey County medical examiner will positively identify the victims and determine an exact cause of death. This information, along with any updates on the case, will be released on the Saint Paul Police Department Twitter account, @sppdmn.

These homicides are 25, 26 and 27 of the year in Saint Paul.
