Saint Paul, MN (September 27, 2024) - The City of Saint Paul will host its 2nd Annual Snow Summit on Saturday, October 5 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Dale Street Municipal Garage (891 Dale Street, Saint Paul, MN 55103). This is a fun, free, family-oriented event geared towards getting Saint Paul residents ready for winter. Attendees can visit with different exhibitors, organizations, and city departments to learn about winter preparedness and explore snow plows and other city equipment.
“Snow impacts everyone in Saint Paul,” said Sean Kershaw, Director of Saint Paul Public Works. “The Snow Summit is a fun, hands-on way to bring together residents, city departments, and community partners to learn and prepare for the winter.”
Prior to the Snow Summit, the city will again host a special Alley Captain Conference. The Alley Captain Conference is open to current alley captains and anyone who is interested in learning how to organize their neighbors to plow their alley with a private contractor. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP on the website at www.stpaul.gov/alleycaptains.

Donate Hats, Mittens, and Scarves at the Snow Summit
Snow Summit attendees can bring new or gently used mittens, hats, and scarves to the event. Non-perishable food items and hygiene products will also be accepted. All donated items will be given to people in need through the Saint Paul Public Works “Community Cupboard.”
The Community Cupboard, located on the boulevard in front of 891 Dale Street, is available for anyone in need. It is stocked year-round with items donated from city staff and the general public.
