About Youth T-ball & RBI Machine Pitch

Saint Paul Parks and Recreation offers both traditional t-ball and parent/child t-ball. T-ball allows a young child to learn the skills of batting, catching, running the bases, and throwing.

We will not be offering Nearball this 2021 season but check out Machine Pitch for that age group and skill level instead! Machine Pitch offers a transition level of play between t-ball and baseball. As the name suggests, a machine will be used for pitching. This no-score league allows for youth to be coached through the batting experience. Instruction, rules and equipment are modified to enhance learning and fun.

NEW! For the Summer 2021 season, Saint Paul Parks & Recreation will be partnering with the Minnesota Twins to waive certain summer sport fees. The following offerings will be free for all those registered participants: Baseball for 10U, 12U, and 15U age groups, Softball for 10U, 12U, and 14U age groups (slow pitch and fast pitch), and Machine Pitch for 8U. 10U and under participants will also receive a free glove. The Minnesota Twins are committed to grow an interest and participation in Minnesota's youth leagues and create opportunities for youth to learn the sport in a fun and safe environment.
