Eastview Play Area Improvements
A Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) has been awarded to the City of Saint Paul for improvements to the Eastview Recreation Center Play Area. Proposed work includes removal and replacement of existing play equipment and surfacing. Other enhancements may include new walks, site furnishings, signage, and landscaping. The most recent improvements to the play area were 17 years ago, in 2001.
September 24, 2019
A contract is currently being issued for construction of the play area and we anticipate construction will begin shortly after the contract is issued.
August 15, 2019
Staff are reviewing bids for construction and anticipate awarding a contract in the next couple weeks. Construction will begin as soon as contracting is complete and wrap up construction in 2019 for a Spring 2020 opening of the new play area.
