August 3, 2021 Update: Saint Paul Mayor Melvin Carter issued new masking guidance for indoor spaces in Saint Paul along with requirements for staff and City-owned buildings. As data continues to emerge demonstrating the Delta variant’s heightened rate of transmission among both vaccinated and unvaccinated residents, the City of Saint Paul is following recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and encouraging everyone to resume masking when indoors and requiring masks for all staff and visitors in City-owned buildings, regardless of vaccination status, effective immediately. Wilder Recreation Center offers educational programs, after school activities, open gym, tot-times, family events, youth and adult athletics, field rentals, rental space for parties, meetings, and events, and so much more. City Academy High School is located within the Wilder Recreation Center.

Summer Camp and Summer Activities
Saint Paul Parks and Recreation offers summer camps and activities at parks and recreation centers throughout the city. Offerings are available for all ages. 2021 summer registration is open.
Rec Check: In-person, after school and summer program
Rec Check is a free after-school program for youth in grades 1–5 provided at various recreation center sites. Rec Check is open for youth who live or attend school in Saint Paul. School year Rec Check run weekdays from 2 - 6 p.m. on days when Saint Paul Public Schools have classes in session. NEW! Summer Rec Check (formerly known as Summer Blast) information is now available for those entering grades 1-6 this fall. Advanced registration is required. No-School Day Programs
Special programming may be available during no-school days such as MEA, winter break, spring break or other times throughout the school year.
Free Meals Program
Free meals are provided to youth 18 years of age and under and persons over 19 who participate in a public or nonprofit private school program for persons with disabilities. Visit the Free Meals Program webpage for more information.
