Description
The project is funded by a federal grant from the U.S. Department of Energy. The project is to install new on-street electric vehicle charging stations at six locations on the East Side of Saint Paul. Each charging station would have included two dual-port level 2 chargers, with one charger dedicated to Evie carshare and the other dedicated to public charging.

In 2024 and 2025 the city engaged the community in determining the locations where these chargers would be best used to meet community needs. The city was working with a consultant (SRF) on this community engagement effort.
