Downtown Saint Paul businesses help make Saint Paul the vibrant city it is today.  We understand the need for employee, commercial and visitor parking. A variety of ramps and lots are available to give employees and business owners options that best suit your location, needs, and budget.

Contract Parking

Downtown building and business owners can contact Gary Grabko, the City's Parking Manager, at gary.grabko@ci.stpaul.mn.us to discuss off-street parking options for your employees.

If you are a downtown Saint Paul employee interested in contract parking, contact your employer or utilize the parking map to explore your best options. Don’t forget – there are also many alternative routes to Saint Paul including bus, light rail, and bike.

Business Parking

Special Vehicle Permits

Construction or commercial vehicles with special permits may park in a metered space without payment between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. Those without a permanent special permit are subject to ticketing if the meter has expired.

Commercial Vehicle Permits are issued by license inspectors, are numbered, and expire one year after issuance. This placard shall be placed between the driver’s side dashboard and windshield ensuring that the entire placard is visible through the windshield.

For more information, please contact the Department of Safety and Inspections at (651) 266-8989.

Visitor Parking

We understand the role of parking availability for customers, clients, and other visitors. With meters, ramps, and parking lots provided throughout downtown and the Capitol area, we encourage you to share the City’s parking page with visitors to inform them about the best parking options near your business, including all disability parking zones.
