Obstruction Permit Description

An obstruction permit is required whenever an object or equipment is placed within the city's right of way (streets, boulevards, sidewalks, alleys and other rights of way).

Obstruction permits include:

  • Full Block Use
  • Parking Meter Hooding
  • Parking Lane Use
  • Traffic Lane Use
  • Bike Lane Use
  • Sidewalk Use
  • Hoisting
  • Scaffolding
  • Dumpster - Dumpster company is responsible for obtaining the permit
  • Sidewalk Café
  • Special Events
  • Storage Container
  • Utility Company Use of Right of Way
  • Parklets
  • Valet Parking
  • Food Cart
