Swede Hollow Park
About Swede Hollow Park
The location of a bustling immigrant community up until the late 1950s, Swede Hollow Park is enjoyed by many residents looking for a green escape in an urban setting. The park's valleys create a distinct feeling of wilderness in conjunction with a bisecting stream that lightly fills the impressive silence and serenity afforded by the environment.
- Tree Trust plans to add and install a railing system to the timber staircase late 2019 or summer of 2020. More information to come.
March 13, 2020: Over the winter, Tree Trust has removed a large amount of buckthorn around the observation deck. Rivers Edge Academy volunteers will haul out remaining cut brush in April 2020. Trash in the area will be picked up by the City's Natural Resources Team. Here are some photos to share!
2019: Tree Trust completed the new observation deck at the bottom of the timber staircase.
