Parque Castillo Project Overview

Project Description

This project will replace the existing Parque Castillo play area to meet current safety standards. Additionally, site improvements such as landscaping, walkways, and other site features will be included to create a vibrant space for the community.

Project Updates

September 19, 2018-  The RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY to unveil the artwork is scheduled for Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 4:30pm at the site. Details to follow.

August 21, 2018- Project Construction has reached substantial completion. The splash pad is temporarily off until final start up operating issues are fixed.  Contractor is working to resolve the problems. Art will be installed in September. Additional signs will also be installed in fall 2018.

July 19, 2018 - Construction of the Play Area and Splash pad is approaching completion at the early part of August. The artwork will be completed in September.

February 23,  2018 - Construction will begin in early May for Splash pad and Play area for 2-5 and 5-12 equipment as well as other site features.  The park will be closed May-August 2018 for construction. 

November 13, 2017 - Work begin in park to upgrade electrical panel and outlets.

August 30, 2017 - Updated plans Sent to Site Plan Review for Final Approval

July 26, 2017- Conditional Site Plan Memo sent

June 21, 2017- Conditional Site Plan Review Approval

June 6, 2017 - Site Plan Review

May 22, 2017 - Construction Documents submitted for Site Plan Review
