Holiday Tree Missed Collection

The live holiday tree collection period has now concluded for 2026.

If you set out your live tree for collection during January 2-15 and it was not collected by 6 p.m. the next business day, please report the missed collection using the form below. No additional trees can be scheduled for collection this season.

If you have an artificial tree, please schedule a bulky item collection. Live trees can no longer be scheduled as bulky items this year.

All live trees are taken to yard waste sites for composting. Yard waste trucks are no longer in operation for tree collection after the holiday service period.

Live tree disposal:

If you have a live tree that needs to be disposed of, you can take it (for free) to a Ramsey County yard waste site that accepts trees.

Yard waste sites and their hours are listed here: Yard Waste | Ramsey County, Minnesota. Sites that accept trees include Arden Hills, Frank and Sims, Midway, and White Bear Township.

Why Was My Collection Missed?

Here are some issues that might prevent your garbage and recycling from being collected:

  • Time: Carts not out by 6 a.m.
  • Placement: Carts too close to each other or other structures.
    • Must have three feet of clearance on all sides.
    • Must be less than four feet from the curb or alley edge.
  • Contamination: Items that don't belong in carts.
  • Overflow: Cart is overflowing with the lid open.

To ensure we're able to collect your waste and recycling, please follow all collection day instructions.
