Starting April 8 Wabasha Street closed between Kellogg Boulevard and 4th Street
Kellogg Boulevard will be reduced to 1 lane in each direction through the Wabasha Street Intersection from Cedar Street to St Peter Street
Beginning April 8, construction on Kellogg Boulevard resumes from last year. April 3-5, there will be minor impacts to traffic in this area. Phase 1 construction is expected to take approximately 1 month, weather permitting. Phase 2 construction is expected to begin in May and take approximately 1 month.
Detours and vehicle access (Phase 1):
- Northbound traffic from the Wabasha Street bridge will be able to turn both left (westbound) and right (eastbound) onto Kellogg Boulevard.
- Kellogg Boulevard will reduced to 1 lane in each direction through the Wabasha intersection.
- To access the Intercontinental Parking Ramp, Wabasha Street between Kellogg Boulevard and 4th Street will be two-way local traffic only. Use 4th Street to access the parking ramp.
Traffic impact: Expect congestion on the Wabasha Street bridge and on Kellogg Boulevard near the intersection of Wabasha Street and Kellogg Boulevard.
Pedestrian access: Sidewalks on Wabasha Street and Kellogg Boulevard may be closed and detoured for this work. Please follow posted signs.
Kellogg Boulevard work Phase 2 in May: Wabasha Street on the north side of Kellogg Boulevard will reopen to traffic. Kellogg Boulevard traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction between St. Peter Street and Cedar Street. This impact will be approximately one month.
Weather permitting, expect construction work to last for approximately two months, separated into two phases. Additional cleanup and restoration work, which may include intermittent lane closures, is anticipated to last until mid-summer.
