About Ward 2

Ward 2 Map (January 2023)

Ward 2 includes the neighborhoods of West 7th Street, the West Side, Summit Hill, Railroad Island, Lowertown, and the Downtown business district. The Ward is shaped by its proximity to the Mississippi River. Harriet Island Regional Park, Lilydale Park, and the Mississippi National River Recreation Area are located on the banks of the river in Ward 2.

Downtown Action Series

Join fellow neighbors for the 2026 Downtown Action Series to stay informed, connected, and engaged around the future of downtown Saint Paul.

Led by Council President Rebecca Noecker, this ongoing initiative provides regular updates and opportunities for dialogue around Saint Paul’s Downtown Investment Strategy, related projects, policies, and partnerships shaping downtown. Whether you’re a downtown resident, business owner, employee, or simply care about downtown’s future - your engagement matters.

Together, we’ll share updates, hear from partners across sectors, collaborate, and problem-solve as we continue building a more vibrant, inclusive, and thriving downtown. The more people at the table, the stronger our path forward.

The next 2026 Downtown Action Series meetings will be held on:

  • October 15
  • December 10

All meetings are held on Thursdays at Union Depot (214 4th Street East) from 4:30–6:00 PM.
