Re-opening procedures

An advanced reservation is required for all participants. Participants will not be allowed to workout without a reservation. Each reservation is for a 45 minute session. The last 15 minutes of the hour is saved for staff to clean equipment between sessions.  If you wish to use both the fitness center and the walking track, you will need to register for each of those sessions separately.

If you do not have a fitness membership, please plan to pay $3 for fitness rooms or $1 for the walking track upon arrival. You can also purchase an annual membership--$30 a year for Saint Paul residents and people who work in Saint Paul (please bring proof of residency or employment); $60 a year for non-residents.

COVID-19 rules and safety procedures

The following procedures will be in place according to MDH restrictions and guidelines. We ask that you take this time to review these rules, as well as refresh our general fitness center guidelines.

COVID-19 Fitness Center Rules

  • Masks are required to be worn at all times inside the recreation center and fitness room.

  • Participants must make a reservation prior to arrival.

  • Check in at front desk upon arrival for heath screening/temperature check, and to make payment.

    • Please arrive at the designated start time you made your reservation.
  • Bring a full water bottle as our drinking fountains are turned off.

  • Bathrooms are available but showers and locker rooms are closed.

  • An appropriate social distance for these spaces is 6 feet.

  • Participants should use the provided cleaning supplies to wipe down equipment after use. Spray the disinfectant on the towels, and not directly onto the equipment. Staff will complete a deeper cleaning between sessions, but we appreciate your help in cleaning the equipment immediately after use.
