Important fitness center updates

Face masks are welcome but not required

Saint Paul Mayor Melvin Carter has lifted the masking requirement for staff and visitors in City-controlled facilities. Face masks are welcome and will be available for anyone wishing to wear one. Visitors are still encouraged to maintain distance from others when possible, to wash hands frequently, and to stay home if feeling sick.

Visit our COVID-19 Updates webpage for the latest information on all our parks and recreation facilities.

Advance reservations are no longer required. Please review the guidelines and procedures below in order to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants and staff.

MLK and Dayton's Bluff fitness rooms to close

In the coming weeks, the fitness rooms at Martin Luther King and Dayton’s Bluff Recreation Centers will close and the rooms will be repurposed to better serve the community’s needs. Fitness membership holders may continue to use the fitness rooms at any of our other eleven locations. See below for a list of recreation center fitness rooms. We appreciate your membership and apologize for any inconvenience.

COVID-19 Guidelines and Safety Procedures

The following procedures will be in place according to CDC and Minnesota Department of Health restrictions and guidelines. Individuals who do not follow the guidelines and procedures may be asked to leave.

  • Face masks are welcome but not required.

  • An appropriate social distance for these spaces is 6 feet.

  • Participants should use the provided cleaning supplies to wipe down equipment after use. Spray the disinfectant on the towels, and not directly onto the equipment. Staff will be cleaning intermittently throughout the day, but we appreciate your help in cleaning the equipment immediately after each use.

  • Reservations are no longer required.

  • Showers and locker rooms have reopened.

  • The above guidelines are subject to change. Please check with the front desk for the latest updates.
