These rules are in place to ensure that everyone has a positive experience using the fitness center. Individuals who do not follow the rules may be asked to leave.
Check in at the front desk upon arrive. All fitness center users must have a current membership or daily pass, which can be purchased at the front desk.
Plan to finish your workout at least 15 minutes prior to the end of business hours to allow yourself enough time to fully clean your equipment, collect your belongings and exit the facility before the building closes for the day. If you are planning to shower, please leave enough time at the end of your workout to complete your shower and exit the building by closing time.
The fitness center is available for people who are at least 18 years old.
Youth who at least 16 years old may use the fitness center with a parent or guardian present.
Use the provided cleaning supplies to wipe down equipment after each use. Please spray the disinfectant on the towels, and not directly onto the equipment.
Please be courteous to others using the fitness center and people waiting to use equipment. If there are people waiting, allow others to participate.
Please observe safety guidelines and precautions when using fitness equipment, such as using spotters and collars when appropriate.
Please return all equipment to its proper place after use.
Food and drink (other than water) are not allowed.
Please refrain from talking on cell phones, using profanity, or playing music (other than personal headphones).
Proper attire and footwear should be worn at all times. No boots, streets shoes, sandals, or bare feet.
Please report any damaged equipment to recreation staff.
How to Purchase a Membership or Daily Pass
Memberships and daily passes can be purchased in person at the front desk of any recreation center with a fitness center. Resident annual memberships cost just $30/year for adults who live or work in Saint Paul and provide access to all thirteen fitness center locations. You must show proof of Saint Paul residency or employment at the time of purchase to receive the resident rate.
The following procedures will be in place according to CDC and Minnesota Department of Health restrictions and guidelines. Individuals who do not follow the guidelines and procedures may be asked to leave.
Face masks are welcome but not required.
An appropriate social distance for these spaces is 6 feet.
Participants should use the provided cleaning supplies to wipe down equipment after use. Spray the disinfectant on the towels, and not directly onto the equipment. Staff will be cleaning intermittently throughout the day, but we appreciate your help in cleaning the equipment immediately after each use.
Reservations are no longer required.
Showers and locker rooms have reopened.
