Project Overview
Following the renovation of the Taylor Park Play Area in the fall of 2025, the Saint Paul Parks and Recreation Design & Construction team has secured additional funding to make improvements to the site's accessibility.
This project will include a new trail loop, the replacement of the non-ADA-accessible entries with ADA-accessible ones, parking improvements including an ADA-Van-Accessible parking space, benches, picnic tables, and new park signage.
Project Updates
August 17th, 2026
After a handful of community members reached out to the project team requesting that the portion of the trail from the parking area to the northeast corner of the site remain, the project team has reevaluated the construction budget and determined that we do have sufficient funding to repair that path so that it can remain.

August 11th, 2026
The contractor expects to begin installing tree protection fencing and erosion control measures at the Taylor Park project site on Thursday, August 13th, 2026. Demolition is expected to begin in earnest on Monday, August 17th, 2026. Construction is estimated to take 4-6 weeks.
