Description
SPRWS is committed to maintaining a reliable and efficient water system for our community. Each year we replace several miles of aging water mains that have reached the end of their service life and are prone to frequent breaks.
The scope of this project includes:
- Replacement of approximately 600 feet of the old cast iron water main.
- Installation or replacement of valves and hydrants to enhance water flow and accessibility for emergency services.
- Repair and restoration of affected street pavement, curbs, and sidewalks to ensure public safety and accessibility.

Timeline
2026 Construction Season
- July 30 Update: Restoration is in progress. Crews have completed all pipe work and project is expected to complete August 3.
- Limited access traffic patterns in place between Mendota St and Forest St
- July 23 Update: Testing in progress.
- July 17 Update: Work to be complete by end of July 17.
- June 25 Update: Work is underway.
- June 18 Update: Work expected to begin June 23.
- June 11 Update: Initial outreach initiated, on schedule for early July start.
