Description
SPRWS is committed to maintaining a reliable and efficient water system for our community. Each year we replace several miles of aging water mains that have reached the end of their service life and are prone to frequent breaks.
The scope of this project includes:
- Replacement of approximately 778 feet of the old cast iron water main.
- Installation or replacement of valves and hydrants to enhance water flow and accessibility for emergency services.
- Repair and restoration of affected street pavement, curbs, and sidewalks to ensure public safety and accessibility.

Timeline
- September 3 Update: Temp water installation in progress. Water main work on track to begin week of September 8.
- August 28 Update: Temp water installation scheduled to begin the week of August 31. Water main work tentatively scheduled to begin week of September 8.
- August 21 Update: Xcel Energy work is complete. Temp water installation scheduled to begin the week of August 24 with a tentative watermain work beginning the week of August 31.
- July 30 Update: Project currently on hold. Tentative work and road closure expected to begin after Xcel Energy work completion.
- July 17 Update: Work scheduled to begin August 29.
