Description
SPRWS is committed to maintaining a reliable and efficient water system for our community. Each year we replace several miles of aging water mains that have reached the end of their service life and are prone to frequent breaks.
The scope of this project includes:
- Replacement of approximately 768 feet of the old cast iron water main.
- Installation or replacement of valves and hydrants to enhance water flow and accessibility for emergency services.
- Repair and restoration of affected street pavement, curbs, and sidewalks to ensure public safety and accessibility.

Timeline
- September 3 Update: Lead replacements in progress.
- August 28 Update: Water service reconnects in progress. Lead replacements start August 31.
- August 21 Update: Temporary water install is in progress with services to follow week of August 24.
- August 11 Update: Temporary water install is in progress. Road closures for lead replacement and main replacement work underway.
- July 30 Update: Temporary water install is in progress.
- Road closures for lead replacement and main replacement work tentatively starting August 10th.
- July 23 Update: Work schedule start date moved up to July 29.
- July 17 Update: Work scheduled to begin August 10.
