PCIARC Meeting Policies and Procedures

Several documents govern the work of the Police Civilian Internal Affairs Review Commission, including Standard Operating Procedures and Bylaws. The Bylaws were last updated and approved on November 6, 2024, and may be reviewed annually for needed updates or revisions.

The PCIARC elects a Chair and Vice Chair from the seated Commissioners. The Chair and Vice Chair have a number of responsibilities, as detailed in the Chair/Vice Chair document below.

PCIARC Meetings and Documents

PCIARC meetings are typically held the first Wednesday of the month at 6:00 p.m.

The first portion of each PCIARC meeting is open to the public. Members of the public are welcome to attend the public portion in-person or virtually. The second part of the meeting is not open to the public because the PCIARC reviews cases. A sign will be displayed outside PCIARC meetings indicating when the meeting is closed.

Please note: one or more members of the PCIARC may participate by interactive technology, per Minnesota Statutes § 13D.02
