Jr. Police Academies

The Saint Paul Police Department, in partnership with the Saint Paul Parks and Recreation Centers, is excited to invite your son or daughter to be a Cadet in our FREE upcoming Junior Police Academy.  The camps are a week long, Monday-Friday, from 9:30-3:30.  Breakfast, lunch and healthy snacks will all be provided FREE!  And…Friday is a graduation ceremony where parents, friends and family members can be part of the Cadet’s ceremony and enjoy a FREE BBQ lunch. 

Some of the skills the Cadet’s will learn include:  Physical fitness, Marching, Geography, Police Investigations, Safety talk, Bike Safety/Rodeo. There will also be field trips to the SPPD K9 Kennels, Mounted Patrol Stables, Ramsey County Emergency Communications Center, State Patrol Helicopter demonstration, and much, much more.  Did I mention this camp is FREE!  See you at Roll Call promptly at 9:30 am! 

Registration:

Enrollment in the camp is managed by Saint Paul Parks and Recreation. The camps are offered a few times a year, and run from June through July.  Sign up soon!  Only 30 Cadets will be allowed in each Academy! Enrollment is anticipated to open in April.

Age Group:

You must be between the ages of 8-12 to participate.  Priority will be given for residents of the City of Saint Paul.
