Overview
The Highland District Council (HDC) is using funds to enhance the physical space of the corridor through multiple beautification efforts. This includes installing brackets to the lantern style lighting on the corridor and add flower baskets and welcome flags, possibly including a holiday version in winter. Other beautification along the corridor with other projects that could include bike rack and planting trees, flowers, and shrubs in public areas.
In addition to beautification, funds supported a music event in Sibley Plaza in August, and a clean-up event in the fall of 2025.
Lastly, the Highland District Council are reviewed applications from others with proposals that align with the goals for this commercial corridor grant. Awards will be shared once announced.
