Overview
The Downtown 2050 Plan will establish policies and zoning recommendations to support the growing and vibrant downtown, illustrated by the Downtown Alliance’s 2024 Investment Strategy. The existing Downtown Development Strategy was adopted in 2003 and is in need of streamlining and modernization. The Downtown 2050 Plan will build on this Strategy and other downtown-focused plans, available here for reference.
The Planning and Economic Development Department hired a consultant team led by Gehl Studio, Inc. to develop innovative policy and zoning solutions that create a people-focused downtown neighborhood.
