Survey is a process of identifying and gathering data on a community’s historic resources. Survey includes field work to identify and record, along with research. Survey information expires after ten years since several factors may have changed in a decade. Survey provides frames of reference that establish the relative significance of historic & cultural resources and create a framework for making future decisions.
