Overview

The RL large lot residential district is the lowest density residential district. It provides for a semirural environment of predominantly low-density residential uses along with civic and institutional uses, public services, and utilities that serve the residents in the district.

The district is designed to protect, maintain, and enhance wooded areas, wildlife and plant resources, fragile bluff areas, topography, and large expanses of natural vegetative cover; to minimize erosion and excessive stormwater runoff, and to provide enough lot area for private wells and individual sewage treatment systems.
