Ford Motor Company closed its Twin Cities Assembly Plant in December 2011 and then prepared the site for demolition and disposition. The City of Saint Paul worked with Ford to help ensure that site demolition was handled carefully to minimize noise, dust and disruption. Ford Motor Company and its environmental consultant Arcadis conducted environmental remediation on the site, bringing it into conformance with Minnesota Pollution Control standards for the development of all land uses, including residential.
