Overview
The Macalester-Groveland Community Council (MGCC) is using corridor funds for the Business Vitality Project, which aims to support and boost eligible businesses through direct mini-grants and through indirect services/advertising and events that support all businesses in the target areas. Mini-grants will be provided to approximately 15 businesses, Potential corridor wide vitality projects include two new bike corrals and to support parklets.
In addition, MGCC plans to survey businesses on needed support to remain “open for business” during the period of road construction which limits customer access to their businesses. MGCC will also support businesses on the corridor by launching marketing and promotion campaigns to promote customer access and increase visibility for the affected small businesses.
