Finding a Tree Service Company...

City ordinance states that companies performing tree care in Saint Paul are required to be licensed through the Department of Safety and Inspections. If a company is not licensed, they may not be property bonded and insured.

  • To verify online that a tree care company is licensed, please visit the Public Information Search page.
    • Once there, change the search box to "License"
    • Then click the "Advanced" tab 
      • Change license type to "Tree Trimmer & Vehicle(s)"
      • Change license status to "Active"
      • Then click the search button
