Saint Paul Parks and Recreation offers fun programs to keep you active and engaged during fall, winter, and spring breaks as well as other days when Saint Paul Public Schools are not in session.
Saint Paul Parks and Recreation programs will adhere to CDC and MN Department of Health guidance on COVID-19. Programs offered may require modifications based on future public health recommendations. All participants are required to wear a face covering. A limited number of masks are available for those in need or forget. No-School Day programming will follow the same safety guidelines as our Rec Check program, so please review those guidelines and procedures in advance.
No-school day programs will be offered on the following days when Saint Paul Public Schools are not in session:
- October 21-22 (MEA Break)
- October 29
- November 19
- December 20-23 (Winter Break- Session 1)
- December 27-30 (Winter Break- Session 2)
- January 17
- January 28
- February 21
- March 4
- March 25
- April 4-8 (Spring Break)
- April 15
Programs and offerings may vary for each date. Check back for additional offerings as they are finalized. Recreation center hours may differ on no-school days.
Rec Check is a free after-school program for youth in grades 1-5. On the dates listed above when Saint Paul Public Schools are not session, Rec Check will take place from 1 - 4pm.
Rec Check Extended
Rec Check Extended offers full-day care at three sites from 8am - 5 pm during the Winter Break and Spring Break dates listed above. The cost is $10/day.
S'more Fun is a recreational childcare program providing structured and unstructured activities designed to help children pursue their own interests, develop friendships, gain confidence, and build independence in a safe, comfortable, and fun atmosphere. S'more Fun offers full-day care when Saint Paul Public Schools are not in session.
