Storm Damage Update

8/27/24 Storm:

Forestry crews have been working around the clock in response to recent storms to clear major damage, debris, and road blockages. Their efforts have now shifted to making residential streets passable and continuing cleanup of damage and debris. Thousands of trees were impacted by the recent storms and cleanup response will take time.

If you have downed trees or limbs from public property trees that you have not yet reported, you can do so by calling 651-266-6400 or emailing Forestry at forestry@ci.stpaul.mn.us. If you have already reported your tree, it is in our system and crews will continue to respond to reports until complete.

Please note, the City will not be collecting private property tree debris. Residents and/or hired private tree care companies should not stack debris from private trees within city rights-of-way as it will not be collected by the city. Visit the Yard Waste and Composting page for information about yard waste disposal options.
