The Forestry Unit manages boulevard and park tree planting, tree pruning, tree removal, stump removal, and tree diseases & pests.
Forestry's vision is to be stewards of the community forest by utilizing best management practices, by implementing innovative design solutions, and by increasing community awareness and engagement in order to preserve and enhance the quality and function of the community forest.

The Tree Advisory Panel is seeking new members
The Saint Paul Tree Advisory Panel (TAP) is looking for new members. TAP’s mission is to advise our Forestry Division on the preservation, promotion, and enhancement of Saint Paul's urban forest. This civilian panel reviews and advises us on existing ordinances, policies, procedures, and programs and assists in setting long term goals and strategies to promote and sustain a healthy, diverse urban forest. There are currently several vacancies which we hope to fill immediately.
