Free at Zumba Harriet Island Regional Park at 9am on Sundays through September (weather permitting).  

Free movies in Saint Paul Parks, including I Know What You Did Last Summer (the original!) at Mears Park on October 17.

This summer, Saint Paul Parks and Recreation is proud to partner with artist and storyteller Katie McNamara Howie for a special storytelling project in Downtown Saint Paul. "By_a.thread :: downtown saint paul stories" celebrates the people and spirit of downtown each week through Katie's unique blend of portraiture and narrative, creating a living tapestry of hope, connection, and community. 

SPECIAL EVENT: Please join us on Friday, September 26 from 5-7pm in Mears Park to celebrate Katie McNamara Howie's By a Thread :: Downtown Saint Paul Stories project. The event will feature over 60 pieces of art from Katie's project, including both stickers and posters placed and hung throughout the center of Mears Park. Plus live music, appetizers, beer, and a presentation with Mayor Melvin Carter, the artist, and series participants.
