Old building, new tricks

This project will renovate the former privately-held animal shelter at 1115 Beulah Lane. Our current animal shelter was built in the 1970s - a time when the role of animals was much different. This project is the culmination of more than a decade of work to move Saint Paul from an animal control program to a comprehensive focus on animal services.

The Future of Animal Care

The new shelter will greatly improve the quality of care we can provide to the animals we help. It will allow space for pet adoptions, veterinary services, and will be focused on the health and safety of animals in the shelter, as well as providing healthy, safe, and quality spaces for staff and visitors, allowing Saint Paul the opportunity to serve as an animal services leader in the twin Cities Metro.
