Oil Burner Business Trade License

An Oil Burner License allows the holder to install any oil-fired heating device; furnace, boiler, space heater, or unit heater, etc.

Code Requirements: See Chapter 369 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code for information about building trade business licenses.

Apply for an Oil Burner License in PAULIE

Your business trade license application will need the following required document(s):

• A current City of Saint Paul Certificate of Competency (Master Gas Burner)

• A Certificate of Insurance with a combined single limit of liability for bodily injury and property damage of $500,000; or $500,000 bodily injury and $200,000 property damage

• Current $25,000 Mechanical Bond (MB) on file at Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry

• Proof of Worker's Compensation

Fees: The annual fee for trade licenses is $188.00 each.

Expiration/Renewal: All Trade Licenses expire on December 1 and may be renewed annually.
