Overview
A Pet Shop is defined as a business kept or maintained for the care, exhibition for sale, sale, or purchase of live dogs, cats, rabbits, other small animals, any birds, reptiles, or fish. It does not include veterinary hospitals, or persons or places selling only frogs, fish, worms, or reptiles for use as live bait for fishing. This license includes pet grooming.

- Business Purchase Agreement (Only for Change of Ownership applications)
- Property Lease / rental agreement or proof of ownership

Expiration & Renewal
A Pet Shop License will expire one year from date of issuance and may be renewed annually.

This license requires inspection approvals from Saint Paul Fire Department (Phone: 651-266-8989), Environmental Health (Phone: 651-266-8989) and Zoning (Phone: 651-266-9008).
