Overview
This license is for an establishment or premises in which four or more coin-operated mechanical devices, as defined in Section 318.01 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code, except coin-operated billiard and pool tables, are kept or maintained for use by the public.
From September 1 to May 31, weekday hours of operation are limited to 11:00 am - midnight. Minors may not be admitted between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm.
No person licensed to sell intoxicating or nonintoxicating liquor at retail shall be required to have a game room license for the premises described in such intoxicating or nonintoxicating liquor license. If you have questions, contact DSI at 651-266-8989, or email the DSI Message Center.

Application Requirements
You must submit the following:
- Class R License Application
- Lease / rental agreement
- Proof of Mechanical Amusement Device Licenses
- Proof of Pool Hall License (if there are any pool tables in the game room)
- Required fee
Inspections
Your application will be administratively reviewed by DSI Licensing, Zoning and Fire Inspection staff. This review may include on site inspections(s) to verify compliance with applicable regulations. You will be informed of any required inspections including the name and telephone number of the inspector after the submission of a completed license application. The location must be in compliance with all applicable regulations and/or license conditions before any license may be issued.

Expiration/Renewal
A Game Room License will expire one year from the date of issuance and may be renewed annually.
